Patrick Oglesby, J.D., M.B.A., focuses on cannabis revenue policy. He is a North Carolina lawyer, living in Chapel Hill, and founder of the nonprofit Center for New Revenue. He practiced tax law with Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C., and served on the staffs of the Joint Congressional Committee on Taxation and the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, and as an adjunct faculty member at the law and business schools of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was co-chair of the Regulatory and Tax Structure Working Group of the California Blue Ribbon Commission on Marijuana Legalization, and a co-author of the RAND Report on marijuana legalization for Vermont.
